Our History
Over 30 years ago, Littlefolk Playgroup was born, and since then, we have cared for over 1,500 children, preparing them for the future.
As we have grown, we have become a registered education provider and rebranded as Littlefolk Childcare.
As a highly regarded childcare facility in Tonteg and Church Village, we uphold the highest possible standards, offering compassionate and loving care to every child who enters our doors.
The Littlefolk way
We are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 2-4 to grow and learn.
Our philosophy revolves around encouraging curiosity, creativity, and independence in every child.
We believe in the importance of play-based learning and individualised attention to support each child's unique developmental journey.
Registered Education
Provider
We offer up to 30 hours of free childcare per week for three-year-olds and are the only English-medium provider of this service in the Tonteg and Church Village area.
To be eligible, your child must turn three before the two cut-off points (end of December or end of March).
The 30 hours consist of 15 hours funded by us, as a registered education provider with RCT, and an additional 15 hours funded by the UK government.
You will receive the first 15 hours from us regardless of employment status, but please note that parents must be employed to receive the additional 15 hours of government funding.
